I would like to suggest, that instead of heaping more jail time into Chaka’s (Daniel Ramos) spirit, thereby further damaging an enterprising and unwavering young man, that sentencing him to art school would be a solution that would benefit him and the populace.
The justice system has never been creative; only a few intelligent judges have been able to fit the punishment to the crime with advantage to all--it is clear in the case of Chaka, whose behavior is crying out for the correct help. I am very surprised that some thoughtful agency has not offered him a scholarship.
