Boy, 14, Shot to Death in Front of School

A 14-year-old North Hollywood boy was shot and killed Tuesday outside the Sherman Oaks junior high school he attended, Los Angeles police said.
Gang members fatally wounded the boy, also a suspected gang member, after calling him over to their truck at Magnolia Boulevard and Sunnyslope Avenue near Robert A. Millikan Junior High School, Detective James Vojtecky said.
Paramedics took the youth to AMI Medical Center of North Hollywood. The boy, whose name was not released, was pronounced dead from a bullet wound to the chest, Vojtecky said .
Police were looking for a lowered, white pickup truck, possibly a Toyota or a Nissan, with a camper shell.
