CLU Pair Advances in Nationals

The Cal Lutheran doubles team of Paavo Salmi and Jason Munro won its first-round match in the NAIA tennis championships Tuesday in Kansas City.

Salmi and Munro will play in the second round today. Another Cal Lutheran doubles team, Tapio Rantanen and Truls Midtbo, was forced to default in the second round because of Rantanen’s ankle injury. Cal Lutheran’s third doubles team, Mike Gennette and Tomislav Zelenovic, lost its only match in three sets.
