Get a Map, Ed: Ed Begley Jr. is environmentally concerned to the point of shunning gasoline-burning cars and using a bicycle, electric car or public transportation to get around Los Angeles. So on a visit to New York, he opted for the subway instead of having a limo take him from Manhattan to the Lifetime cable studios in Queens for an interview. But there was one slight hitch: Begley ended up going the wrong way on the R train and was 45 minutes late arriving. “I knew I was supposed to cross the East River but when I spotted the Brooklyn Bridge as opposed to the 59th Street Bridge, I realized that I wasn’t on my way to Queens,” Begley said.
