La Verne : Adult Businesses Restricted

The City Council unanimously passed an ordinance Monday restricting sexually oriented adult businesses to the areas zoned for industrial and business park use in areas of the city roughly south of Arrow Highway.
The ordinance also prohibits adult businesses from locating within 1,000 feet of each other or within 500 feet of schools, parks, churches, civic or residential areas.
Community Development Director Steve Preston said the ordinance will limit the number of the businesses to about six.
