THOUSAND OAKS : City to Guarantee Library Group Loan
- Share via
The Thousand Oaks City Council has unanimously agreed to guarantee a $50,000 loan to help the Thousand Oaks Library Foundation open a specialty store.
Council members said Tuesday night that the loan will help the foundation finance the remodeling of a library office now used as a conference room.
Foundation volunteers hope to open a store that would market locally produced items such as stationery supplies, including pencils, note pads and paper with the foundation’s logo, as well as T-shirts and cups. The store is expected to be open by the fall.
Council members say their support will help the library foundation secure a bank loan.
