El Toro Wins Flip, Plays Host in 4-A; Esperanza Hits Road in 5-A Baseball

El Toro High School won a coin flip and will play host to Arroyo Grande Friday in the quarterfinals of the Southern Section 4-A division baseball playoffs.
Four county schools--Capistrano Valley, El Toro, Canyon and Sunny Hills--will compete in the 4-A quarterfinals.
Esperanza, the top-seeded team in 5-A, will travel to Baldwin Park. Three members of the Moore League--Millikan, Jordan and Lakewood--are still playing in that division.
The quarterfinal pairings involving county teams:
5-A Division
Esperanza (25-2) at Baldwin Park (16-4-1); Fountain Valley (24-5) vs. Long Beach Millikan (19-5) at Blair Field; Edison (15-12) at Long Beach Jordan (18-8).
4-A Division
Capistrano Valley (18-10-1) at Arlington (25-4); Arroyo Grande (15-8) at El Toro (17-11); Dos Pueblos (17-8) at Canyon (17-9-1); Sunny Hills (21-6) at Paramount (17-6-1).
3-A Division
Calexico (15-6) at Tustin (19-7).
1-A Division
Orange Lutheran (17-8) at Coast Union (9-7).
