HACIENDA HEIGHTS : 2 People in Stolen Car Die in Crash After Chase Ends
- Share via
Two people were killed when the stolen car they were riding in crashed Tuesday night in Hacienda Heights, minutes after Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies stopped chasing the car. “We had already stopped our pursuit of the car, and the car crashed about a mile from where we stopped the pursuit,” said Sgt. Bob Blanks.
Blanks said deputies were ordered to stop chasing the car after five minutes “for traffic safety reasons, due to rush-hour traffic.”
The crash occurred about 6:35 p.m. at Los Robles Avenue and Turnbull Canyon Road, according to a county Fire Department dispatcher.
