Liberty Contract Chief Adds Duties

James N. Smith has been appointed senior vice president of Wyle Electronics, an Irvine marketer of high-technology electronic products. Smith, 49, continues as president of Liberty Contract Services, the company’s value-added services and manufacturing support unit. He has headed the unit since its formation in 1992. Before joining Wyle in 1987, Smith was vice president of operations and vice president of semiconductor marketing for Kierulff Electronics.
