Salick Health Care to Buy ViCare: The acquisition will help Los Angeles-based Salick strengthen its Infusx division, which provides care and treatment for patients with cancer and other chronic illnesses, the company said. ViCare Inc., which was founded in 1990, is a home health care company serving the Philadelphia area. The purchase price was not disclosed. Salick, which is controlled by London-based Zeneca Group, will merge ViCare with Infusx. Closely held ViCare provides chemotherapy, antibiotics, infusion and immunology services. It has contracts with managed-care companies and insurers, including U.S. Healthcare, Independent Blue Cross and Travelers.
