Long Beach police searched Wednesday for a man who raped a 14-year-old girl and a second man who acted as a “lookout” during the crime.
The girl was on her way to school when she was dragged into an alley about 7 a.m. Tuesday near Anaheim Street and Gaviota Avenue, said Karen Kerr, a Long Beach Police Department spokeswoman.
Kerr said the girl was grabbed from behind and pulled into the alley. As the man assaulted her, she noticed another man waiting nearby. After the attack, both men ran away.
Anyone with information about the attack is asked to call detectives at (310) 570-7368.
