The West Los Angeles Veterans Administration Medical Center will unveil a 23,000-square-foot mural painted by veterans Saturday as part of a nationwide tribute to hospitalized veterans.
The unveiling ceremony will feature entertainment by groups including the Buffalo Soldiers on Horseback and the Venice High School Band.
The mural project, which involved homeless veterans and those in medical rehabilitation, was directed by Peter Stewart, a Vietnam veteran. The ceremony is scheduled for 1 p.m. on the center’s grounds.
