Weekend TV : Views of Black History in Two Sunday Programs

Black History Month is celebrated with two programs Sunday. First comes “The Year in Review: Black History 1994” at 11 a.m. on KTTV-TV Channel 11, followed by the documentary “Masters of Invention . . . Making It Happen,” hosted by Glynn Turman, which chronicles the work of African American inventors, 3 p.m. on KCBS-TV Channel (2).
In college basketball, UCLA plays Pac-10 rival Arizona on Sunday at 12:45 p.m. on ABC (Channels 7, 3, 10 and 42).
Several of the public affairs programs will look at the growing list of 1996 Republican presidential candidates.
