OXNARD : Woman Killed in Traffic Accident

A 39-year-old Camarillo woman died after being thrown from her car in an accident near Oxnard, California Highway Patrol officials said Friday.
Diana Samson was pronounced dead in the emergency room at St. John’s Regional Medical Center shortly after the accident at 11:30 a.m. Thursday.
Witnesses told CHP officers that Samson was driving about 50 m.p.h. on Pleasant Valley Road west of 5th Street when her car suddenly veered off the pavement. The car rolled over, ejecting Samson, and came to rest on its wheels in a celery field. Samson was not wearing a seat belt.
Samson worked as a waitress in Oxnard and had a 21-year-old son.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
