U.S. Soldier Held in Slaying

KAISERSLAUTERN, Germany — Police in the German city of Kaiserslautern arrested a U.S. soldier on suspicion of having murdered a taxi driver and stealing $20, police said Sunday.
A police statement said the 20-year-old soldier, stationed in the southwest German town of Baumholder, had confessed to the Saturday slaying. The soldier was not immediately identified.
