Hewlett-Packard Co. to Build Irish Plant: The firm, the second-largest U.S. computer seller, said it plans a facility there to produce print cartridges to support the company’s growing ink-jet printer business. The plant, which involves an investment of more than $63.7 million, is being supported by IDA Ireland, the state agency responsible for attracting investment into Ireland. About 300 people are expected to be employed at the new plant by the end of 1996 and as many as 1,100 over the next four years, the company said.
