PLACENTIA : City to Form Choir for Grade-School Students
- Share via
The city’s Human Services Department is forming a choir called Coro de los Ninos for children in third through sixth grades.
Volunteer choir director Karen Meldrum, who teaches with song, dance, rhythm and small percussion instruments, and assistant director Barbara Robinson will lead the young singers.
High school students who plan to major in music and experienced piano accompanists are invited to volunteer their assistance, and members of the community with less time or musical skill are being asked to donate money for rhythm instruments, after-school snacks and soft drinks.
Starting March 13, the choir will practice at the Backs Community Building, 201 N. Bradford Ave., from 4 to 5 p.m. Thursdays.
For more information, call Betty Escobosa, director of human services, at (714) 630-3871.
