OCC Remains Unbeaten in Baseball

The Orange Coast College baseball team won two games Sunday to complete its sweep through the Apache Classic tournament in San Diego County.
The Pirates (7-0) beat El Camino, 3-2, at Southwestern and beat San Bernardino Valley, 8-5, at Grossmont to finish 4-0 in the five-team round-robin tournament.
Against San Bernardino Valley, Adam Cancellieri had a single, double and triple and two runs batted in and Geoff Wilson had three hits and one RBI. Cancellieri stole six bases in the tournament.
In the Hancock Bulldog Classic:
Rancho Santiago 7, Lassen 6--Mike Brambilla had two home runs and six RBIs to rally the Dons (5-1) from a 5-0 deficit. He hit a grand slam in the fifth and a two-run homer in the sixth. Earlier, Rancho Santiago beat Hancock, 17-1.
In the title game of the Cypress softball tournament:
Palomar 5, Cypress 3--Cypress tied the score in the bottom of the fifth on a triple by Autumn Gwinner and an inside-the-park home run by Aimmee Weathers. Palomar scored two runs in the sixth, on a wild pitch and a sacrifice fly.
