No. 10 Virginia Tech Receives Huge Scare From Liberty, 56-53

Damon Watlington made two three-point baskets in the final minutes at Blacksburg, Va., Tuesday night to enable 10th-ranked Virginia Tech to escape with a 56-53 victory over Liberty (12-10).
The victory was the 17th in a row at home for Virginia Tech (19-2), which trailed by as many as 11 points in the second half.
No. 14 Georgetown 66, No. 21 Boston College 63--Allen Iverson scored 24 points at Newton, Mass., to help Georgetown snap a two-game losing streak that had dropped the Hoyas (20-5, 10-4) out of the Top Ten for the first time this season. Boston College (15-6, 8-5) shot only 28% in the second half.
No. 19 Iowa 62, Michigan 55--Russ Millard had 18 points and a career-high 15 rebounds at Ann Arbor, Mich., to give the Hawkeyes (18-6, 7-5) their first road victory over the Wolverines (15-9, 5-6) in 15 years.

Forward Mark Hendrickson scored 23 points and grabbed 11 rebounds at Moscow, Idaho, as Washington State (12-8) defeated Idaho (9-12), 68-59, the Vandals’ fifth consecutive loss. . . . Derek Grimm made four free throws in the final five seconds and Missouri (16-8, 6-4) went on to defeat Oklahoma State (12-9, 2-7) at Stillwater, Okla., 63-59. . . . HL Coleman scored 18 points at Laramie, Wyo., including a game-winning basket with 50 seconds left, to lead Wyoming (12-11, 6-7) to an 80-76 upset of seventh-ranked Utah (19-4, 11-2) late Monday.
