Valleywide : Easter Activities Planned for Weekend

Valley kids can hop to a number of free local Easter-themed festivities this weekend.

Activities at most of the locations include free Easter egg hunts and entertainment.

They include:

* The city of Calabasas will present “EGG”stravaganza ‘96, featuring an egg hunt, games and refreshments from 10 a.m. to noon at Grape Harbor Park, Canwood Street and Parkville Road, Calabasas.

* Evergreen Generations, an intergenerational day-care center, will hold its first Pee-Wee Spring Parade and egg hunt for children 2 to 6 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at 3655 Old Topanga Canyon Road, Topanga.

* The city of San Fernando Recreation and Community Services Department will present a magic show, games, an egg hunt and photographs with the Easter bunny for children 5 to 12 from 10 a.m to noon Saturday at Recreation Park, 208 Park Ave., San Fernando. An Easter carnival featuring games and arts and crafts will also be held from 2:30 to 5 p.m. Saturday at Las Palmas Park, 505 S. Huntington St., San Fernando.

* The Santa Clarita Senior Center will hold an egg hunt and Easter activities from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Valley Oaks Village Apartments, 24700 Valley St., Santa Clarita.
