Bowman’s Single Lifts Rancho Santiago

Jeff Bowman hit a bases-loaded single in the bottom of the 12th inning to drive in Eric Sobek and give Rancho Santiago a 4-3 victory over Southwestern in the Fullerton Hardball Classic baseball tournament Friday at Rancho Santiago.
The Dons trailed, 3-1, after 9 1/2 innings but scored two runs in the bottom of the 10th.
In a second game, Rancho Santiago defeated Mt. San Jacinto, 5-3. Ryan Fullerton had three hits and winning pitcher Brandon Hendrikx (6-0) struck out seven and gave up four hits in six innings.

Fullerton wins two--Dan Anderson hit a bases-loaded triple to highlight a five-run sixth inning for Fullerton (19-9), which defeated Los Angeles Valley, 9-5. In a second game, Fullerton pitcher Scott Parsonage (6-1) gave up six hits in 8 2/3 innings to beat Los Angeles Mission, 7-2.
At the Visalia Buckman Mitchell tournament:
Orange Coast wins two--Deric Yanagisawa had three hits and five RBIs and Travis Clutter had four hits and three RBIs for the Pirates, who defeated Bakersfield, 12-7, and Monterey Peninsula, 11-2.
Orange Coast scored 10 runs in the ninth in the victory over Bakersfield and Joe Jones hit a three-run home run in the victory over Monterey Peninsula (13-14).
Saddleback wins two--Greg Ferrell had three hits and two RBIs for Saddleback (17-8-1) in a 16-2 victory over Gavilan. Tavares Comeaux had four hits and three RBIs in Saddleback’s 6-3 victory over Bakersfield.
