U.S. Citizenship Workshop Planned

The Hispanic Organization for Personal Excellence, a Thousand Oaks-based nonprofit group, is teaming up with El Concilio del Condado de Ventura to host a workshop Saturday for people who want to become U.S. citizens.
The workshop will take place at Thousand Oaks High School, 2323 N. Moorpark Road, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Volunteers will be on hand to assist participants with citizenship applications, as well as to take their fingerprints and photographs.
Fees for the service are $145 in all, which breaks down to $50 for processing by El Concilio and $95 to the Immigration and Naturalization Service.
