Woman, 91, Dies in Apartments’ Hot Tub

A 91-year-old Ventura woman drowned in the hot tub of her apartment complex on North Ashwood Avenue, Ventura County coroner’s officials said Tuesday.
Margaret Lytle was last seen in the hot tub about 5:30 p.m. Monday. When residents next saw her, she was unconscious and floating in the swirling water, Senior Deputy Coroner Jim Wingate said.
“They pulled her out, started CPR and called 911,” Wingate said. “But she was pronounced dead at [Ventura County Medical Center] about 6:05.”
Lytle is survived by a daughter, Carlene Knox of Ojai, and other relatives, Wingate said.
