Woodland Hills : Pierce College to Hold Spring Farm Walk
- Share via
Pierce College will hold its annual spring farm walk Sunday.
Proceeds from the walk will be used for maintenance at the school’s farm, including repairing barns and fences, reseeding pastures and purchasing feed for farm animals, officials said.
During the walk, which runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., visitors will see cattle, sheep, pigs, horses and a llama, as well as the Nature Center, a picturesque, small canyon preserved in its natural state.
Individuals may sponsor the farm walk for a $50 tax-deductible donation. In exchange, they will receive a Pierce College Farm T-shirt.
Visitors are asked to enter the campus at Mason Street.
The school is asking a $2 minimum donation, and children 12 and younger will be admitted free.
Pierce is located at 6201 Winnetka Ave. in Woodland Hills.
For further information about the walk, call the event’s sponsor, the Foundation for Pierce College, at (818) 703-0826.
