“Terms of Endearment” is one of my favorite movies of all time, so it was with great eagerness that I devoured the article about its much-anticipated sequel (“On Its Own Terms,” by Joe Leydon, April 7).
I enjoyed every sentence, except for the one in the second to last paragraph where, without warning, a major, major event in the movie is revealed. It’s a fair guess it’s probably the ending and no doubt one of the most crucial moments in the film. Gee, thanks--I can’t tell you how much it bothers me to find out what’s going to happen before I go to the theater, so much so that I refrain from reading movie reviews.

Another sequel, this one 13 years later? How much more can we take? The new movie should be titled “Terms of Endurement.”
