Obituaries : Sanford Hedrick; Longtime County Resident

Sanford Hedrick, a Camarillo resident and former maintenance supervisor for the Oxnard school district, died Friday following a brief illness. He was 89.
Hedrick was born Jan. 24, 1907, in Maryville, Tenn., and had lived in Ventura County for 67 years.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Evelyn; son Terry Hedrick of Bartlett, Tenn.; son Lynn Hedrick of Fresno; and daughter Penny Hedrick of Westlake Village. Other survivors include four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Pierce Brothers Griffin Mortuary in Camarillo. A cryptside service will start at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park in Ventura.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Pierce Brothers Griffin Mortuary.
