Calnetics Posts 59% Jump in 3rd-Quarter Income

Calnetics Corp. in Chatsworth saw its net income jump 59% in its third quarter on an 18% rise in sales.

For the quarter that ended March 31, Calnetics posted net income of $444,000 compared with a $279,000 profit in the same period a year earlier.

Sales in the latest quarter rose to $9.1 million, up from $7.7 million a year earlier.

In the nine-month period, Calnetics posted a 61% jump in net income to $1 million, up from $629,000 a year earlier, while its sales jumped 24% to $25.5 million, up from $20.6 million.

The company is a maker of filters, fittings and tubing used in industrial plastics and building materials.
