Body Found in Lake May Be Local Man

A body found Tuesday in Pyramid Lake near Gorman is believed to be that of a 33-year-old Simi Valley man who fell from a boat there Saturday.
Craig Moore fell into the water without a life jacket, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Gabe Ramirez. He said Moore then might have been hit by the moving boat and drowned.
The body was found about 2 p.m. Tuesday under about 40 feet of water near the entrance to Posey Canyon Cove, Ramirez said. Emergency services divers, who had searched for the body every day since Saturday, had expected to find the body in a cove that is not affected by the current, he said.
Pyramid Lake lies alongside the Golden State Freeway in northern Los Angeles County.
The coroner’s office will attempt to make a positive identification and determine the cause of death.
