Woman in Critical Condition After Nearly Drowning in Spa

A woman nearly drowned in a spa Tuesday at a home in Palisades Highlands, a Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman said.
The victim, believed to be in her 70s, was pulled from the spa just after 5:30 p.m., said Brian Humphrey of the Fire Department.
Bystanders performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation on the woman until paramedics arrived at the house on Palisades Drive, he said.
The unidentified woman was taken to St. Johns Hospital and Health Center, where she was listed in critical condition, Humphrey said.
