Kinney, from Red Wing, Minn., has been one of the most consistent golfers at Saddleback the last two seasons. He was the team’s most valuable player last season. He shot a four-under 68 April 8 to lead Saddleback past Rancho Santiago in an Orange Empire Conference match at the Chino Creek golf course. He came back Wednesday to shoot a six-over 77 as Saddleback beat Orange Coast at Mesa Verde County Club in Costa Mesa. Saddleback is 11-0 in conference.

* Rancho Santiago, sophomore. He had four hits, including his 12th and 13th home runs, and scored eight runs as the Dons won two of three games.
