Rep. George Miller (D-Martinez) and Ralph Nader’s Congressional Accountability Project renewed an ethics complaint against Speaker Newt Gingrich, claiming the use of a volunteer in his office broke House rules. They asked the House Ethics Committee to forward the complaint to an outside counsel investigating Gingrich. The panel ruled that Gingrich failed to comply with guidelines, but took no further action.
