Worship Site Should Not Be Publicized

* Re: “Earth Day Celebrants Barred from Bat Caves Cleanup,” April 22.
Why would an anthropologist, a Chumash hereditary chief and other Native Americans publicize the location of a worship site? That seems unwise. Surely, these sites are better left alone, and not made vulnerable to possible vandalism.
It sounds like the bat caves are well protected and secure from public trespass and should be left alone. Earth Day is not about ignoring private property rights.
