. . . The first Mass was held at Orange County’s first Armenian church, Forty Martyrs Armenian Apostolic in Santa Ana. Its name referred to a group of soldiers who died rather than recant their Christian faith.
Commenting on violence between Turks and Armenians, a community leader said: “We want the church to become a center for peace.”
