Philippines Is Topic of Breakfast Meeting

The World Affairs Council is sponsoring “Focus on the Philippines,” the fourth in a series on the growing economies of the Pacific Rim, from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. today at Spanish Hills Country Club.
During the breakfast, participants will hear presentations on trade opportunities in the Philippines; tax, finance and legal issues facing those who do business there; and about assistance from the Department of Commerce.
Lauren Fishman, owner of Trident Laboratories, will discuss how businesses can succeed in the Philippines.
The breakfast is free for corporate and special members of the World Affairs Council; general members $18; nonmembers $25. Tickets may be purchased at the door for $28.
