Kevork “George” Andonian; Tire Store Executive

Kevork “George” Andonian, 70, an entrepreneur of tire-selling centers. A native of Aleppo, Syria, Andonian moved first to Beirut and then immigrated to the United States in 1969. He co-founded and served as vice president of AKH Co., which operates two retail tire chains--Discount Tire Centers and Evans Tire and Service Centers. He helped supervise nearly 100 shops in both chains until his death. On Aug. 29 in Glendale.
