Stowell, Weinhold Hired at Western

Jerry Stowell has been hired to coach the Western varsity boys’ soccer team, and Geoff Weinhold has been hired to coach the school’s varsity wrestling team, boys’ Athletic Director Jim Howell said Wednesday.
Stowell, who has coached lower level and varsity boys’ soccer teams at Los Alamitos, takes over for John Craven, who resigned to work on his teaching credential.
Weinhold, who had been an assistant wrestling and football coach at Western, is an alum of the school. He replaces Steve Palczewski.
