KROQ won’t mind if its new ticket procedures also keep Almost Acoustic Christmas seats from falling into the hands of Y107, the Pasadena-based station that has been mocking KROQ in its billboards and other promotions. Y107, which is running spots making it sound as if it has something to do with the Christmas shows, reportedly plans to give tickets away in on-air contests--as it did with KROQ’s Weenie Roast in September.

“We’ve avoided commenting about Y107,” Sandbloom says. “But I think everyone knows who is putting on these shows.”
